The first picnic of the season

All right, so I'm behind on my blogging. So this is from a week ago. Life has been more photographable than usual, lately, so expect a short train of blog entries in the next day or so!

Last week we celebrated Mother's Day with Jon's parents in town to visit with us dote on the kids. There were two mothers at breakfast on the roof at the local Cajun restaurant that morning. Fortunately, we each had one tiny kid to fuss over.

Getting re-acquainted
After we finished breakfast, we want off to Lynchburg to celebrate Tita's friend, Marshall, who has just graduated from Liberty U. Congratulations all around! Marshall's family hosted a picnic/bbq.

One of the guests arrived in a real "mottobite!" M. was thrilled

Lots of Grandma and baby love happened.

There was no keeping up with Miles. He barely allowed photographs to be taken; he was in a hurry to resume the fast paced life of PLAY.

The kids and the grandparents were delighted to be together.

Tita and Miles had some special moments, too. Feeding the ducks...

Enjoying the waterfalls

Playing PoohSticks at the bridge

M. is for Miles. Obviously.

Jon and Lissa take life a little slower; Adele naps on the go.

A boy and his Tita do not like to be parted.

Thank you Tita and Marshall (why on earth don't we have any shots of Marshall?) for giving us an excuse to spend a day outside. It felt like a natural habitat.
