We had the loveliest, most low-key party for Miles this past Friday.
Every year, Miles has a new craze. This year...
Nintendo is the current motivational treat to get any kind of desirable behaviors out of Miles. He loves to play, and has made amazing progress in the past few weeks. All he wanted for his birthday this year was to play Nintendo with a few of his best friends. Unfortunately, you could maybe fit just one additional child-sized person in our "living room," so we rented a room in the community center.
I made goomba fields:
Cake by Kroger:
The first guest to arrive was doing her best Princess Peach impression:
We popped the goombas, destroyed the question block, ate pizza and cake and goofed off with friends. What more does anyone need for their birthday?

Our souvenir white board needed a picture.
On the way home, Miles said, "That was just how I imagined my party would be" and smiled happily.
I might do all birthday parties this way. Small, invitation by phone call, short, and simple.
We are in Rochester, now. Miles' actual birthday is tomorrow, and this week is filled with WNY adventures documented by our new camera! To be posted, soon.
