This past Tuesday, Leah & family indulged me in a voyage to a local site I'd been meaning to revisit.
Mt. Hope Cemetery is one of the loveliest sites in the whole lovely city. In addition to having the usual attractions of lovely statues and mysterious grave inscriptions, there are several famous individuals buried here. Some are famous locally only, but others are better known.
The high was to be a whopping 88 degrees that afternoon. The locals were all stifling, poor things. I don't know if I've just been away too long or what, but I was perfectly comfortable.
| They made the cemetery their playground on that perfect morning. |

We told the kids about her work while we followed the map to the other destination:
| These two are thick as thieves once again. They are always hand in hand and in each other's confidence. |
In a terrible ordinary part of the cemetery lay the plot we were looking for.
I've read a fair amount of his work this past for my research paper, and he's come to loom large in my mind. In a good way.
I do love the South Wedge.
