More Rochester Festivities

The festivities continue in WNY! Last Wednesday was Miles' official birthday, so we kind of let him choose the activities of the day. He chose a pizza lunch with family & friends, and bowling. What a trip, to teach tiny people to launch very heavy balls across long distances.
Adele's best Renee Zellweger impression.

The six-pounder was about all she could lift. At least once, she managed to shove the ball all the way down the aisle.. but mostly, it floundered in the middle until rescued.

This pinball-like contraption helped enormously. They could roll the ball right down and gather a good amount of speed.

Leah needed no such props :)

Bowling was delightful! And just two days later, when swim lessons were over, we made a long anticipated return visit to Seabreeze Amusement Park! The kids have been talking about this for months.

Adele has grown several inches and is now able to go on most of the childrens' rides.

Matthias was Adele's carousel buddy.

As I've described before, I have a lot of fondness for this old carousel. It was the first ride to come to the park, in 1900, and the Wurlitzer just fills me with happy contentment and home-feelings.
Adele finally got to ride the Bear Trax kiddie rollercoaster! She was thrilled..

...Until it started to move. Check out her expression!
Miles and Abby renewed their very close friendship this year. Always in each others' confidence and arms:

The great thing about Seabreeze is that it rarely gets uncomfortably hot due to, well, the sea breeze. It's right on Lake Ontario:

Dinner gave us famous Bill Gray's burgers and famous Abbott's custard.
After dinner, a few more rides seemed necessary. It was such a gorgeous, perfect day. Highs were in the low 80s, and the evening was golden and serene.
Miles can ride the big swings now!
There was just time for one more double date:

I hope they are always this close.
